Hi @TREVORLETERF,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It seems you're experiencing an issue with your HP Omnibook not being able to display protected content from your smartphone, unlike your older PCs. Below are some possible solutions and steps you might consider to troubleshoot this problem:

Potential Causes and Solutions

Protected Content Settings:

  • Ensure that your HP Omnibook has the necessary digital rights management (DRM) settings enabled to allow protected content. Check for any DRM software updates or settings that might be required for the device to access such content.

Display Settings:

  • Sometimes, display settings can affect content protection. Check the display settings on your HP Omnibook to ensure they are set to allow protected content streaming.

Network Settings:

  • Make sure that your HP Omnibook is on the same wireless network as your smartphone. Double-check your network settings to ensure a stable connection.

Software Updates:

  • Verify that all device drivers and software on your HP Omnibook are up to date. You can find and install relevant updates from the Official HP® Support.

Security Software:

  • Sometimes, security software can interfere with the streaming of protected content. Ensure that any firewalls or antivirus software are not blocking the content or the connection. Temporarily disable them to test if they're the issue.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
