Welcome to HP Support Community, @Richard_24.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Often, the Secure Boot option is hidden because the BIOS is in Legacy or CSM (Compatibility Support Module) mode. Secure Boot is a feature that only works in UEFI mode.

Here’s what you can do to find and enable it:

1. Switch to UEFI Mode
You'll need to enter your BIOS setup to make these changes.

  1. Restart your computer and immediately press the key to enter BIOS. This key is usually F10, F2, Del, or Esc, depending on your computer's manufacturer.
  2. Once in the BIOS, look for a "Boot Options," "System Configuration," or "Advanced" menu.
  3. Find an option named "Legacy Support" or "CSM" and disable it.
  4. Make sure the "Boot Mode" is set to UEFI.
  5. Save your changes and exit the BIOS. Your computer will restart.
  6. Enter the BIOS again using the same key as before.
  7. The "Secure Boot" option should now be visible, usually under the "Security" or "Boot" tab. You can then select it and set it to Enabled.

2. Reset BIOS to Factory Defaults

If you still can't find the option, try resetting your BIOS settings.

  1. Enter the BIOS setup.
  2. Look for an option like "Restore Defaults" or "Load Setup Defaults," which is often on the "Exit" page.
  3. Select it, save the changes, and restart.
  4. Enter the BIOS one more time to check if the option has appeared.
  5. If you've tried these steps and still can't find the option, please reply with the full product model and number of your computer, and I can provide more specific guidance.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
