Hi @Cantler,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Do you see any error messages or codes?
  • Is the keyboard responding correctly when you type your password?
  • Are you using a local account or a Microsoft account to sign in?

In the meantime, here are a few quick troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Restart your computer – Sometimes a simple reboot clears temporary glitches.
  2. Check your keyboard settings – Make sure Caps Lock or Num Lock isn’t interfering with your password entry.
  3. Try Safe Mode – Restart your PC and press F11 or Shift + Restart to access recovery options, then choose Safe Mode to see if you can log in there.
  4. Use another login option – If you have a PIN, fingerprint, or another account set up, try signing in with that.
  5. Run Startup Repair – From the recovery options, select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Repair to fix potential boot issues

I hope this helps.
