@KVR_6292, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The error message "We couldn't find a camera compatible with Windows Hello Face" suggests that your HP Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa1128TX is missing the necessary Windows Hello IR camera driver or that the laptop does not support Windows Hello Face recognition. Here’s how you can troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Check if Your Laptop Supports Windows Hello Face

Not all models of the HP Victus Gaming series come with an IR camera for Windows Hello Face recognition. To verify:

  • Go to SettingsAccountsSign-in options
  • Under Windows Hello Face, check if it says "This option is currently unavailable"
    • If unavailable, your laptop might not have an IR camera.
    • If it prompts for driver installation, proceed with the steps below.

2. Update Camera Drivers

  • Open Device Manager (Press Win + X → Select Device Manager)
  • Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras
  • Look for IR Camera or Windows Hello Camera
  • If found, right-click → Update driverSearch automatically for drivers

If no IR camera is listed, your laptop may not have one.

3. Install the Latest HP Drivers

Go to the HP Support website and enter your laptop’s serial number (found in BIOS or bottom of the laptop).

  • Download and install the latest camera drivers under the Drivers – Keyboard, Mouse, and Input Devices section.
  • Also, update the BIOS and Chipset drivers from the same page.
  • Or, simply click on this link and update the above-mentioned drivers.

4. Check Windows Updates

  • Go to SettingsWindows Update
  • Click Check for updates and install any pending updates, especially optional driver updates.

5. Roll Back or Reinstall the Camera Driver

  • In Device Manager, right-click the Camera driverUninstall device
  • Restart the laptop and let Windows reinstall the default driver.

6. Enable Biometric Devices in BIOS

  • Restart your laptop and enter BIOS (F10 key on HP laptops)
  • Look for an option like "Windows Hello Support" or "IR Camera" under Security settings and enable it
  • Save and exit BIOS

Let me know if you need further help!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
