Switching to Vulkan API results in games unable to start. Examples: Baldur's gate 3, Red Dead Redemption 2. Looking for Vulkan drivers from Qualcomm yields nothing, and no new drivers from HP. Tried reinstalling drivers and Visual C++ to no yield.

@Heinrich_C, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
I understand you're experiencing issues launching games like Baldur's Gate 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2 using the Vulkan API on your HP OmniBook X 14-inch Laptop AI PC 14-fe0000, which is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor and integrated Adreno GPU. Let's address these concerns step by step.
1. Game Compatibility with ARM Architecture:
Both Baldur's Gate 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2 are designed primarily for x86-based systems. Running them on an ARM-based device like your HP OmniBook X requires emulation, which can introduce compatibility challenges. While Qualcomm has demonstrated these games running on Snapdragon X Elite reference platforms, performance and stability can vary.
2. Alternative Graphics APIs:
Given the difficulties with Vulkan, it's advisable to try running these games using DirectX 11 (DX11) instead. Many users have reported better stability and performance with DX11 on various systems.
3. Additional Recommendations:
Driver Updates: Regularly check HP's official support page for your device for any driver updates that might enhance compatibility.
Game Settings: Adjust in-game settings to lower graphics quality, which can sometimes improve stability and performance.
I hope these steps help resolve the issue
