@uk213, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It seems like you are experiencing a screen issue involving the num lock key on your Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-s0000 series. While the document does not provide specifics on this exact issue, here are a few general troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check Keyboard Settings: Sometimes screen issues can be related to specific keyboard settings or applications that respond to key presses. Check any background applications related to keyboard management, such as gaming hubs or keyboard customization software.

Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows operating system is up to date. Sometimes software updates include fixes that can resolve hardware compatibility issues.

Display Driver Updates: Update the display drivers on your laptop. You can do this through Windows Update or by manually downloading drivers from HP's website.

Graphics Settings: Explore the graphics settings through your graphics card software interface (such as NVIDIA GeForce Experience for NVIDIA card users) to ensure that no settings inadvertently cause the display to act strangely on keypress.

Disable Special Key Effects: If you have software that applies effects (like lighting adjustments) when certain keys are pressed, try disabling these features to see if the issue persists.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
