HP OmniBook X 14 inch Laptop AI PC 14-fe0000 (9L6E4AV)

One of the reasons I bought the Omnibook X 14 was to have a reliable laptop for taking notes at college. However, I just discovered that although the laptop has a touchscreen, it has no support for Microsoft Pen Protocol pens or even HP's own pens. Is there any hope for stylus support to come to this laptop?

Hi @Heinrich_C,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

As of now, if the HP Omnibook X 14 doesn't officially support stylus input via the Microsoft Pen Protocol, it may not receive a software update to enable this feature. HP usually specifies which devices are compatible with their stylus technology.

However, you can check for any future updates or announcements by:

HP's Official Website: Keep an eye on the support section for any firmware or driver updates related to stylus support.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I think not having a stylus for a touchscreen is absurd.  I guess I should consider returning this laptop and buying an updated Surface instead
