Hi @RFlores3

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

The error code 0x80070103 typically occurs when Windows attempts to install a driver that is either already installed or incompatible.

Here are detailed steps to resolve this issue for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8034e printer:

Step 1: Uninstall Existing Printer Drivers

  1. Disconnect the printer from your computer (unplug USB or disconnect from Wi-Fi).
  2. Open the Control Panel and navigate to:
    • Programs > Programs and Features.
  3. Locate any HP printer software or drivers, select them, and click Uninstall.
  4. Open Device Manager:
    • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
    • Expand Printers or Universal Serial Bus controllers.
    • Right-click on your printer and select Uninstall device.
  5. Restart your computer.

Step 2: Download the Latest Drivers

  1. Visit the HP Support page for the OfficeJet Pro 8034e.
  2. Select your operating system (Windows 11) and download the latest full-feature driver package.
  3. Save the file to your computer.

Step 3: Install the Drivers

  1. Run the downloaded driver package.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers.
  3. When prompted, reconnect the printer to your computer (via USB or Wi-Fi).

Step 4: Disable Automatic Driver Updates

To prevent Windows from automatically installing incompatible drivers:

  1. Open Control Panel and go to:
    • System > Advanced System Settings > Hardware tab.
  2. Click Device Installation Settings.
  3. Select No (your device might not work as expected) and click Save Changes.

Step 5: Run Windows Update

  1. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  2. Click Check for updates to ensure your system is up to date.

Step 6: Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

  1. Download the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool.
  2. Run the tool to diagnose and fix any remaining issues with your printer.

Step 7: Test the Printer

  1. Print a test page to confirm the printer is working correctly.
  2. If the issue persists, try connecting the printer to another computer to rule out hardware problems.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
