Hi @GAL220,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your Windows 11 HP All-in-One desktop PC administrator access setup. Let’s go through a few checks.

Check Current Account Type

  • Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  • Select Accounts.
  • Click Your info.
  • Look under your account name.
  • Confirm whether it shows Administrator or Standard user.

Change Account Type to Administrator

  • Open Settings.
  • Select Accounts > Family & other users.
  • Choose the account you want to change.
  • Select Change account type.
  • Choose Administrator and confirm.
  • Note: This step requires signing in with an existing administrator account.

Create a New Administrator Account

  • Open Settings.
  • Go to Accounts > Family & other users.
  • Select Add account.
  • Create a new local or Microsoft account.
  • Change the new account type to Administrator.

Enable Built-in Administrator Account

  • Right-click the Start button.
  • Select Windows Terminal (Admin).
  • Type the command to enable the Administrator account.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Sign in using the Administrator account.

CAUTION: The built-in Administrator account has full system access and should be disabled after use.
