Hi @mk-l

Welcome to the HP Support Community! Thanks for posting your query!

We're here to help you get back up and running.

I hear you—it can be frustrating when software refuses to uninstall properly and drivers don’t update as expected. Before we dive into solutions, let’s carefully isolate the situation so we can target the right fix. Could you help me with a few details:

  • Which HP computer model are you using?
  • When you tried uninstalling AutoCAD and the other software, did you use Windows Settings > Apps or another method?
  • Do you see any error messages or does the uninstall simply not complete?
  • For the sound driver, did you attempt the update through Device Manager, Windows Update, or the HP App?
  • Is the issue only with AutoCAD and sound drivers, or are multiple applications/drivers showing similar behavior?
  • Are you running Windows 10 or Windows 11 on this system?

Once I know these specifics, we can narrow down whether this is a software removal issue, a permissions conflict, or a driver compatibility problem. Would you share a bit more about what happens on screen when you try the uninstall and driver update?

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
