Hi @Deepak2803,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
If your HP screen wakes up from sleep mode too quickly, it’s likely due to a setting or device that’s unintentionally waking the system. Here’s how to troubleshoot and fix it:
1. Check What’s Waking the Computer
You can find out what last woke your PC:
- Press Win + X → select Windows Terminal (Admin) or Command Prompt (Admin).
- Type: powercfg /lastwake
This will show what device or process last woke the system.
2. Disable Wake Timers
- Go to Control Panel > Power Options.
- Click Change plan settings next to your active plan.
- Click Change advanced power settings.
- Expand Sleep > Allow wake timers.
- Set both On battery and Plugged in to Disable.
3. Prevent Devices from Waking the PC
- Press Win + X → Device Manager.
- Expand Keyboards, Mice, and Network adapters.
- Right-click each device → Properties > Power Management.
- Uncheck “Allow this device to wake the computer”.
4. Check Scheduled Tasks
Some background tasks (like updates or maintenance) can wake your PC:
- Open Task Scheduler.
- Look for tasks with “Wake the computer to run this task” enabled.
- Disable that option if unnecessary.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
