Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e0000 (2V8Z7AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi. I am trying to connect  my HP Victus to my Samsung phone via bluetooth, the device pairing succeeds, but then I cannot establish connection. I did all the uninstalling-HP assistant-reinstalling etc., but nothing worked. Has anyone had the same problem?

@Stathma, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP VICTUS!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

General Troubleshooting Steps:

Bluetooth Settings Check: Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on both devices and both devices are within a close range.

Restart Devices: Sometimes, a simple restart of both your HP Victus and Samsung phone can resolve connection issues.

Unpair and Re-pair Devices:

  • Unpair the devices from each other.
  • On the HP Victus, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices, click on the Samsung phone, and select Remove device.
  • On the Samsung phone, go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth, click on the HP Victus and select Unpair.
  • Re-pair the devices by following the initial pairing process again.

Update Drivers and Software:

  • Ensure that the Bluetooth driver on your HP Victus is up to date. You can use the HP Support Assistant to check for and install any available updates.
  • Ensure your Samsung phone’s software is up to date. Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to check for and install updates.

Check for Interference: Ensure there are no other Bluetooth devices nearby that could be causing interference.

Bluetooth Troubleshooter on HP Victus:

  • Open Settings on your HP Victus.
  • Go to Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
  • Select Bluetooth, and run the troubleshooter to see if it can automatically detect and fix the problem.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hi ZOEY7886! Thanks for the reply, but I have already done all that, and it did not get fixed...

@Stathma, Thanks for the update, and I totally get how frustrating that can be!

Since you've already tried the standard steps, let's dig a little deeper:

Check Bluetooth Services on HP Victus:
Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and ensure Bluetooth Support Service is running. If it’s not, right-click and start it. Set it to Automatic.

Try a Clean Boot:
This helps rule out software conflicts. You can follow Microsoft’s clean boot guide to temporarily disable background services and try pairing again.

Compatibility Note:
Some Windows laptops have limitations in maintaining active Bluetooth file transfers or connections with certain Android devices—especially for tethering or file sharing. Are you trying to transfer files or use features like Bluetooth tethering?

Try Using "Your Phone" App or Nearby Share (Beta) for better cross-device experience.

If it’s still not working, let me know what you're trying to do with the connection—file transfer, tethering, audio, etc.—so we can suggest more targeted steps.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
