Hi @MEL5432,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the website you're unable to access!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution
A 402 error in most cases, it results from:
- Browser issues (cache/cookies)
- Network restrictions (ISP, firewall, VPN)
- Website server problems
So here’s a step-by-step troubleshooting guide:
Try a Different Browser
- Open Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox and try accessing the sites.
- If it works on another browser, clear cache and cookies in the default browser:
- Open your browser settings.
- Go to Privacy & Security → Clear browsing data.
- Select Cookies and cached images/files → Click Clear data.
- Restart the browser and try again.
Disable VPN or Proxy (If Using One)
- If you're using a VPN or Proxy, disable it and try accessing the websites again.
- Some websites block VPN traffic, causing 402 errors.
Restart Your Router
- Unplug your Wi-Fi router for 1 minute, then plug it back in.
- Once the internet is back, try accessing the websites.
Flush DNS and Reset Network Settings
- Press Windows + R, type cmd, and hit Enter.
- In the Command Prompt, type:
ipconfig /flushdnsipconfig /releaseipconfig /renewRestart your computer and try again.
Check Firewall or Antivirus Settings
- Some security software blocks specific websites.
- Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus and check if the websites load.
- If they work, add them to the allowed list in your security settings.
Try a Different Network (Mobile Data or Hotspot)
- Connect to a mobile hotspot or another Wi-Fi network.
- If the sites work, your ISP (Internet Service Provider) might be blocking them.
- In this case, contact your ISP for support.
