@Yogitadarmik, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're seeing a message at startup indicating that the cooling fan is not working on your HP notebook running Windows 11. This is an important issue, as the cooling fan helps prevent overheating and hardware damage.

Here are the steps to help you resolve this:

Confirm the Error Message

When you power on the notebook, do you see a message like:

“The system has detected that a cooling fan is not operating correctly.”

If yes, this typically indicates a hardware issue with the fan.

Perform a Hard Reset

Sometimes, a hard reset can clear temporary hardware glitches.

  1. Turn off the notebook.
  2. Disconnect all external devices and unplug the power adapter.
  3. Press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the power adapter and turn on the notebook.

Check if the error persists.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

HP provides built-in diagnostics to test hardware components.

  1. Turn off the notebook.
  2. Press the Power button, then immediately press the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu appears.
  3. Press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  4. Select Component Tests > Fan and run the test.

Update BIOS and Drivers

Outdated BIOS or system drivers can sometimes cause fan control issues.

  • Visit the HP Support page.
  • Enter your notebook’s model number.
  • Download and install the latest BIOS and Chipset drivers for Windows 11.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
