HP Pavilion - 15-cs0064st
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a 15-cs0064st which is updated to windows 11.  I ran the  CSME version detection tool and it says my  system is vulnerable. I also updated the HDD drive to an SDD drive.  I wento the support site and for 15-cs0064st it does not show windows 11 as an option.  I downloaded the bios/firmware update for windows 10 64 bit just to see if it would solve the problem and I also updated the most recent MEI driver but I am still seeing system vulnerable when running the CSME tool.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Kewldad007

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this issue—it can be frustrating when updates don't resolve vulnerabilities as expected.

Let's go through some steps to address the CSME vulnerability on your HP Pavilion - 15-cs0064st running Windows 11.

Step 1: Verify the Latest BIOS & Firmware Updates

Since HP's support site doesn't list Windows 11 for your model, you can:

  1. Visit the HP Pavilion - 15-cs0064st Support Page.
  2. Select Windows 10 (64-bit) as the OS.
  3. Download and install the latest BIOS and firmware updates.
  4. Restart your laptop and check if the vulnerability persists.

Step 2: Update Intel Management Engine (ME) Components

  1. Visit Intel’s Download Center and search for the latest Intel ME firmware.
  2. Download the appropriate Intel ME components package.
  3. Install the package following Intel’s instructions.
  4. Restart your laptop and run the CSME Version Detection Tool again.

I want my responses to be thoughtful and supportive, especially when you're dealing with frustrating situations.
