@DAWNNUNNERY, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're having trouble getting your HP All-in-One PC 24-df1000i back to the BitLocker recovery key entry screen after trying to bypass it. I’ll guide you through the steps to help resolve this.
Perform a Hard Reset
Sometimes a hard reset can help the system reinitialize and return to the BitLocker screen.
- Turn off the PC completely.
- Unplug the power cable.
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cable and turn the PC back on.
Check if the BitLocker screen appears.
Access BitLocker Recovery via Startup Repair
If the screen still doesn’t appear:
- Turn on the PC and force shut it down (hold the power button) as soon as the HP logo appears. Repeat this 3 times.
- On the 3rd restart, Windows should enter Recovery Mode.
- Select Advanced Options > Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Repair.
- Let the process complete and see if it redirects to the BitLocker screen.
Use a Bootable USB (if needed)
If the system won’t boot at all:
- Create a Windows 11 installation media using another PC: Create Windows 11 Installation Media
- Boot your HP PC from the USB.
- Select Repair your computer > Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Command Prompt.
- In Command Prompt, type:
manage-bde -unlock C: -RecoveryPassword YOUR-RECOVERY-KEY
Replace YOUR-RECOVERY-KEY with the actual BitLocker key.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
