Hi @Kimmyds2005

Welcome to the HP Support Community! Thanks for posting your query!

We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for asking about HP Insights. Before we determine whether you need it, let’s gather some details to understand your setup and what you’re trying to achieve:

  1. Printer Model – Which HP printer are you using?
  2. Connection Type – Is the printer connected via Wi‑Fi, USB, or Ethernet?
  3. Operating System – Are you using Windows, macOS, or another platform?
  4. Current Issue or Goal – Are you facing a specific problem (e.g., print quality, offline status, monitoring usage), or are you exploring features for better management?
  5. Environment – Is this for home use or a business setup with multiple printers?
  6. HP App Status – Do you already have the HP App installed and working on your device?
  7. Subscription or Services – Are you enrolled in Instant Ink or any other HP service?

Once I have this information, I can explain what HP Insights does and whether it adds value for your situation. Could you share these details?

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

OMG That was hard to get rid of. Atleast I think I finally did. I uninstalled from programs and features many times and it would automatically reinstall and popup in system tray stating not enrolled. No way to get it out of the system tray. I even disabled it in services and task scheduler. Still no resolve. I finally found an HP FTP script for powershell, I down loaded the script to my laptop, extracted the folder to a file location and ran the powershell command. I even deleted HP One Agent, HP Touchpoint Analytics and HP  Tech Pulse from C drives Program Files, Program Files x86 and Program Data. There are still some remnants in the registry editor but that no concern.  It's been a day but so far no HP Insights in laptop. I guess I could have done a laptop reset and see what happens with the HP Bloatware but I will just tweak current settings for now (brand new week old HP Elitebook 😎

HP provides a specific PowerShell script to uninstall and unenroll the HP Insights agent for individual use or deployment.
  1. Download the script: Download the uninstallation PowerShell script as a ZIP file from the official HP source: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/caps-softpaq/HP_DaaS/HP_TechPulse_Deployment/MSI_Installer/UninstallHPTechPul....
  2. Extract the file: Unzip the downloaded file to a location on your computer (e.g., C:\Temp\HPInsightsUninstall). The extracted file will likely be named UninstallHPTechPulse.ps1 or similar.
  3. Open PowerShell as Administrator:
    • Click the Windows Start icon, type powershell.
    • Right-click on Windows PowerShell in the search results and select Run as administrator.
  4. Change directory (optional but recommended): Navigate to the folder where you extracted the script using the cd command. For example, if you saved it in C:\Temp\HPInsightsUninstall, you would type:
    powershell
    cd C:\Temp\HPInsightsUninstall
  5. Run the script: Execute the script using the following command to bypass the execution policy for this specific run and ensure it runs hidden and non-interactively:
    powershell
powershell.exe -executionpolicy bypass -windowstyle hidden -noninteractive -nologo -file ".\UninstallHPTechPulse.ps1"

This command will run the script, which will uninstall the application and unenroll the device from HP Insights services.
