@jec999, Thanks for the update—I understand how frustrating it can be when the ink cartridges are stuck, but don't worry, we’ll figure this out together! 😊
Since the cartridges are locked in place, it’s possible that the printer is in a protective mode or there’s a minor hardware jam. Let's try a couple of additional steps to release them:
Power Reset (Deep Reset):
- Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait about 2–3 minutes—this helps the printer reset completely.
- While it's unplugged, press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Try to Release the Cartridges Manually:
- Open the cartridge access door carefully.
- Gently check if the cartridge carriage is moving freely or still stuck.
- If it’s stuck, try moving it gently to the center by hand (don’t use force!).
- If the carriage moves, you should be able to release and remove the cartridges.
Check for Obstructions:
- While the printer is off, take a flashlight and check inside for any bits of paper or debris that might be blocking the cartridge carriage.
- If you spot anything, remove it gently with tweezers.
Once you’ve tried these steps, let me know how it goes! If the cartridges are still stuck, we can explore other options together. 😊
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hey @jec999, thanks for keeping me updated! I completely understand how frustrating this must be, and I appreciate your patience. Let's keep at it and see if we can get those cartridges unstuck. 😊
Since you've tried the previous steps and the cartridges are still stuck, could you walk me through what happened after each step?
1️⃣ When you powered off the printer, unplugged it, and held the power button—did you notice any sounds or movements when you turned it back on?
2️⃣ Were you able to check if the cartridge carriage moves even slightly, or is it completely locked in place?
3️⃣ Did you find any bits of paper or debris inside the printer when you checked?
Your input will help me figure out the next best steps! Let me know what you observed, and we’ll take it from there. 😊
Looking forward to your update!
