Hello everybody,

I have a problem with the pavilion g6 with belongs to my grandfather (it is 11 maybe 12 years old but he doesn't want to spent money on a new one, becaurce a new one is very expensive and bad for the enviroment)

I have recently upgraded it from win 10 to win 11 (the pc is unsupported on win 11 but everything runs smooth so it isn't really a problem).

The problem with I am having is that the keyboard won't always work, like somtimes if you start the laptop it will work but like 2 out of 3 times, it starts up no problem however the keyboard doesn't work.

some keys like wifi key and brightness key do work, but the volume key and all other keys like the letter, number and all other don't.

If I hit restart than it magically does work.

I have tried the following things:

1. delete and re-install driver

2. try different (compatible) driver

3. go back to win 10

4. try HID in servises menu

I have tried a fresh win 11 install on a different ssd with works fine, the reason I have not don this on the laptops own ssd (original hhd but upgraded to ssd for preformance) is that he has very much filles and apps install with would be really hard to re-install so re-installing windows is really only as a last resort for me.

Also it is good to mansion that on screen keyboard and an external usb keyboard work prefectly fine.

I am not A computer noob but also not a computer nerd, I know some things, but not everyting.
