my hp 8715 is printing a complete size document but only in small dimensions and only in the upper left corner of the page. The computer i am using is an older Toshiba, Satellite and it is connected to my all in one printer by usb hard wire. No wireless communication is involved.

@Avalanche111, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 is printing the full document content, but it's appearing in a small size in the upper-left corner of the page. Since you're using a USB connection with an older Toshiba Satellite laptop, let's walk through a few steps to resolve this:
Check Page Scaling in Print Settings
- Open the document you're trying to print.
- Go to File > Print.
- In the print dialog box, look for Page Scaling, Size Options, or Fit to Page.
- Make sure it's set to "Fit to Printable Area" or "Actual Size", not "Custom Scale" or a reduced percentage.
Verify Paper Size Settings
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 and select Printing Preferences.
- Under the Paper/Quality or Advanced tab, ensure the paper size is set to Letter (8.5 x 11 in) or your preferred size.
- Click Apply and OK.
Update or Reinstall the Printer Driver
Sometimes older drivers can cause scaling issues. Here's how to update:
- Visit the official HP support page: Official HP® Support
- Download and install the Full Feature Software and Driver for your operating system.
- After installation, restart your computer and try printing again.
Test with a Different Application
Try printing the same document from another app (e.g., WordPad, Notepad, or Adobe Reader) to see if the issue persists. This helps isolate whether the problem is app-specific.
I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
