HP Spectre x360 14 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-eu0000 (7K634AV)

Smart Sense is one of the AI features HP has to offer in their high-end laptops and is suppose to give a better experience. Instead it does not. I changed the system control from Smart Sense to Balanced, but it keeps switching back to Smart sense after every bootup or restart. I tried raising a case for this  but received no resolution in return. I always have to open the myHP app and manually change the system control before starting my work. This has become an irritating process everyday. Any suggestions regarding how to resolve this issue?

@aks_sk, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Smart Sense in HP Command Center is designed to ensure optimal PC temperature and performance. However, if it keeps reverting back to Smart Sense after every bootup or restart, you can follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Update the BIOS: It is essential to have the latest version of BIOS installed on your HP Spectre x360. You can download the latest version from the HP Support website.

  • Visit the HP Support website.
  • Search for your product model.
  • Download and install the latest BIOS update.

Ensure HP Command Center is up to date: Make sure that you have the latest version of HP Command Center. You can check for updates within the application or download the latest version from the HP Support website.

Check for other software conflicts:

  • Ensure that no other software or background processes are reverting the settings.
  • Perform a clean boot to rule out any software conflicts.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
