Hi @murari4,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check for Any Obstructions:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Open the cartridge access door.
  • Look for any paper jams or foreign objects obstructing the carriage movement.
  • If you find any paper or debris, carefully remove it.

Manually Move the Carriage:

  • With the printer off, gently try to move the carriage to the left and right to ensure it moves freely.
  • Make sure nothing is blocking the carriage's path.

Reinstall Ink Cartridges:

  • Remove all ink cartridges.
  • Inspect the cartridges for any issues and clean the contacts with a lint-free cloth if necessary.
  • Reinstall the ink cartridges securely in their correct positions.

Check Cartridge Latches:

  • Ensure the cartridge latches are securely closed.
  • Ensure the cartridges are properly seated.

Reset the Printer:

  • Close the cartridge access door.
  • Plug the printer back into the power source and turn it on.
  • Sometimes, a simple reset can clear the error.

Firmware Update:

  • Check for any firmware updates for your printer. You can do this through the HP Smart app or the HP support website.
  • Updating the firmware may resolve the error.

Perform a Printer Reset:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer back on.

I hope this helps.
