I’m experiencing an issue with my HP laptop, which I purchased about six months ago and is still under warranty.
On the side of the laptop, there is a pen that attaches magnetically. Unfortunately, this magnetic connection is not strong enough in practice, causing the pen to come loose frequently. Recently, this happened again when I closed my laptop and placed it in its protective case (a sturdy case specifically designed to prevent damage).
Afterwards, I discovered that the pen had gotten caught between the screen and the keyboard when I closed the device. This has resulted in a visible crack in the touchscreen. I would like to emphasize that I always handle my device with great care, and this incident occurred entirely outside of my control. The laptop was stored properly in a protective case, and there was no impact or drop involved.
Since this issue seems to be caused by a design flaw or weak pen attachment, I hope it can be covered under the warranty terms. I would appreciate your guidance on how best to resolve this.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
