Hi @jones2580,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Just to make sure I understand correctly, are you currently seeing the "Secure Boot Violation" message after the power outage, or are you looking for guidance because it appeared previously and is now preventing the PC from starting normally?

Could you please let us know:

  • The exact HP PC model or product number.
  • The full error message is shown on the screen.
  • Whether any hardware changes were made recently (SSD, graphics card, etc.).
  • Whether you can access the BIOS by pressing F10 at startup.

As an initial step, please try a BIOS Recovery:

  1. Turn the PC off completely.
  2. Press and hold the Windows + B keys.
  3. While holding those keys, press and hold the Power button for 2–3 seconds.
  4. Release the Power button but continue holding Windows + B for another 20–30 seconds.
  5. Check if the BIOS Recovery screen appears and follow any prompts.

After trying the BIOS Recovery, please let us know what happens.

If the issue continues, please share the PC model details so we can check the supported configuration and provide more specific guidance for your system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
