Looking to buy a new laptop. All the laptops I'm considering are AI laptops so what exactly does that mean? Is it because Windows 11 has AI built in or is it more? I am an AI hater. I don't think AI has been out long enough to know it's good so I'd rather not have anything to do with it, but it's looking like I may not have a choice. In fact in the reviews of one laptop someone said AI messed all his stuff up in a way he hadn't though possible. Don't know just what that means but it sounds scary.

In general, laptops with AI have a dedicated key to open Microsoft Copilot, and they can suggest configuration changes, for example, to the sound card for better sound quality. It can help conserve battery life so that it lasts longer, and it helps you create texts, designs, etc. 

 

It is speculated that Windows 12 or more advanced versions will only be activated on processors with AI technology.
