Hi @Shay116

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

The "CRITICAL PROCESS DIED" error indicates that a critical system process has unexpectedly terminated, which causes the blue screen of death (BSOD) in Windows 11. Here are steps to resolve this issue:

Initial Steps

  1. Fully shut down your laptop and restart it to see if the error persists.

Check for System Updates

  1. Ensure your Windows operating system is up-to-date.
  2. Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates. Install any available updates.

Run System File Checker (SFC) and DISM Tools

System File Checker:

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
  • Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
  • Wait for the scan to complete and follow any instructions provided.

Deployment Imaging Service and Management Tool (DISM):

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
  • Type the following commands, pressing Enter after each:
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Check for Driver Updates

  1. Go to the HP Support site at HP Drivers.
  2. Enter your laptop model number (HP 15s-fq3003ni) and check for the latest driver updates.
  3. Install any necessary updates to ensure that all drivers are current.

Perform Hardware Diagnostics

  1. Restart your laptop and immediately press Esc repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens.
  2. Press F2 to enter HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  3. Run System Tests to check the hardware components for failures.

Perform System Reset

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, consider performing a System Reset:

  1. Restart your computer and immediately press F11 repeatedly to enter Windows Recovery Environment.
  2. Select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your PC. You can choose to keep or remove your files.

Additional Tips:

  • Safe Mode: Boot your laptop in Safe Mode to diagnose if the issue persists in this mode. Restart your laptop and press F8 to select Safe Mode.
  • Event Viewer: Check the Event Viewer logs for any detailed error messages that might provide clues.
