Hi @ansh_0008

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for reaching out. We understand that the Windows key + L shortcut is not working, and we'd like to gather a few details to better understand the behavior on your HP device.

Could you please share:

  • Your HP product model number
  • Windows version (Windows 10 or Windows 11)
  • Does the Windows key work normally for other shortcuts such as:
    • Windows + E (File Explorer)
    • Windows + R (Run dialog)
    • Windows + I (Settings)
  • Is the issue occurring with both the built-in keyboard and an external keyboard (if available)?
  • Did this start after any Windows update, BIOS update, or driver update?
  • Are there any error messages when you press Windows + L?

In the meantime, you may try these basic checks:

  1. Confirm whether the Windows key is functioning by testing other Windows shortcuts.
  2. Restart the PC and test the shortcut again after sign-in.
  3. Check if Fn Lock or Gaming Mode is enabled (on supported HP systems), as these settings can affect keyboard shortcuts.
  4. Try manually locking Windows using:
    • Start Menu > User Profile > Lock
    • Or press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and select Lock
  5. If available, connect an external keyboard and test Windows + L.

Once you share the HP model and the results of the above checks, we'll be happy to provide more targeted troubleshooting steps.

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
