Does the file on the Obi300 support page also contain Obi200 firmware? The way it's bundled together on the obitalk forum, where an unsecure http link is provided? Is the Obi200 approaching its end of life/support, since it's not shown in the drop down list on the support page for voice products? 

I would rather not download firmware via http, especially since third party firmware can be installed in spite of the presence of a signature check mechanism.

I just bought obi200 on amazon and now looking to upgrade the firmware.  Can the obi300 be used?

You can safely get the latest firmware version for your OBi200 device at link http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=9.0 It is safe because I have done it multiple times and experienced no issues whatsoever over the years. The OBi2xx Series ATA Adapters are not End-of-Life any time soon. Still remained top of the line, popular ATA model. The OBi300 ATA Adapter model will not work with Google Voice service, just so you know.
