Hello, is it possible to delete my HP Community account without deleting my HP account?  I don't use the Community much now but it has been very helpful.

Welcome to the HP Community --

 

My guess is that your HP Account and the account you use to sign into our HP Community are the same account.  No, I cannot check -- I do not work for HP -- I do not have access to your private information.

 

Regardless --

You can certainly set your HP Community Profile so you will no longer receive email from the Community.

 

Open your Koalabear1 Profile Page

Click to Edit your Profile

Tab Preferences > UNCHECK Automatically subscribe me in topics or reviews I participate in

AND

Tab Personal > In Email > Check Don't send me any community emails

 

Thank you for participating in the HP Community --

Real people who own, use, and support HP devices.

Click Yes to say Thank You for the help !

Your deduction is like Sherlock Holmes! So I guess what you mean is no, I can't close the Community part of my account down, only stop the emails coming from it.

You are right that I log in with the same details for both the HP Account and the Community.

I've since changed my mind and I will continue with the Community  (I don't think I have much choice) but thank you for your helpful advice.

You can certainly ignore us -- we will be here when / if you need help.

 

You can also treat the Community like you do any other resource -- search for what you want using AI or your browser and favorite search -- Most search engines will "find us" if the answer you seek is posted in the Community.  Tap in and see the message that way.
