HP Poly Studio Mobile App

I am unable to install the HP Poly Studio App from the Google Play Store. It is telling me my Google Pixel Fold running Android 17 is not compatible. Interestingly enough, my ancient LG phone is compatible. I have tried clearing Play store caches and storage.

Hello @rclamarre, Welcome to the HP Poly Support Community.

Thank you for the details.

Since HP Poly Studio Mobile is available on Google Play and was updated on April 29, 2026, but Google Play reports your Pixel Fold running Android 17 as incompatible while an older LG phone is accepted, this looks more like a device/Android-version compatibility restriction in Google Play than a Play Store cache problem.

We request that you go to play store > search the application > Scroll to the compatibility section > check for app compatibility with the phone.

Thank you and have a great day!

I'm an HP Employee.

No, this is not a phone / play store issue. I don't have this issue with any other apps, just this. Also, according to Google Play, this was last updated Aug 4 Version 5.2. If my phone at Android 17 is incompatible is there a compatibility requirement not listed here. Searching the forum, it seems this is an ongoing issue for many people.

Thank you for the additional information and for sharing the Google Play details. @rclamarre

We request that you please try the below troubleshooting steps and give us an update.

Advanced Troubleshooting Steps

Clear Google Play Store Cache and Data

  • Settings > Apps > Google Play Store
  • Clear Cache
  • Clear Storage/Data
  • Restart the phone and try the installation again

Clear Google Play Services Cache

  • Settings > Apps > Google Play Services
  • Clear Cache
  • Restart the device

Verify Device Certification

  • Open Google Play Store
  • Settings > About
  • Check whether the device is listed as Play Protect Certified

Check for Manufacturer-Specific Restrictions

  • Some Android 17 beta, preview, or manufacturer-customized builds may report compatibility differently than standard Android releases.

Test with a Different Google Account

  • If possible, sign into another Google account temporarily and check whether the app becomes available.

Based on the information shared so far, this appears more consistent with a Play Store compatibility classification issue or application compatibility issue rather than a problem with your specific phone configuration.

We appreciate you providing the version information and detailed observations. We will ensure your feedback regarding Android 17 compatibility and Play Store availability is documented and forwarded to the relevant team for review.

Have a great day!
