Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

We have a number of Plantronics Status Indicator Lights and they have stopped working with MS Teams since Teams has been updated.

Any tips on how we can get these working with Teams again?

Thanks.

Hello NL1990, welcome to the HP Poly community.
I am sorry to hear that you are facing this issue with the Poy Status Indicator.
Could you please check if you could revert to the previous version of the teams as there would be an option to and connect the status indicator and check if the issue is resolved?

Regards,
Meghana

Hi Meghana,

Thanks for coming back to me.

Unfortunately, we have tried this and it doesn't help, and now Microsoft have released the 'new' Teams, we are unable to install an 'old' version as all installation files point to the new installation, we only have the option to revert to the old Teams which is now part of the same installation of the 'new' Teams.

Kind regards,

Nick

Myself and a number of colleagues in my department have the same status indicator and have the same issue, The companion app needs an urgent update to work with the Teams update. Otherwise, these things are useless.

I have had a few  conversations with HP support and they have continually just said I need to speak to Microsoft as it is there issue even though it is clearly an issue which needs updating on the companion app, not been helpful at all!

If you are happy to roll back to Classic Teams (old), I found a solution from one of the competitor products who have updated their software. If you go back to the old Teams, and then go to Settings in Teams and check the box for 'Register Teams as the chat app for Office'. If it is already checked, uncheck it and recheck it and the light should start working again.

Hope this helps.

Plantronics Status Indicator companion app is powered by embrava software. Embrava is distributing its own devices with its own branding on it. Just try to use Embrava Connect from embrava.com. This just worked for me and new the new MS Teams.
