Poly Voyager 5200
iOS

Hi, I had recently purchased a Poly Voyager 5200. But after connecting to my iphone 14, I was not able to do audio/voice messages on whatsapp, wechat and telegram. Does Poly Voyager 5200 doesn't support this feature or something is wrong with my setting? I bought this headset purely for sending short voice notes messages on whatsapp as my work heavily depend on this.  Please kindly assist. Thank you.

HI @ro999er, Welcome to Poly HP Support Community.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing difficulties with your Poly Voyager 5200 and your iPhone 14 for sending voice messages on WhatsApp, WeChat, and Telegram. I understand how crucial this functionality is for your work. To help resolve the issue, I recommend following these troubleshooting steps:

1. Check Bluetooth Connection:
Make sure the headset is properly connected to your iPhone. Go to **Settings > Bluetooth** and verify that the headset is listed as connected.
2. Microphone Settings:
Ensure that the app (WhatsApp, WeChat, Telegram) has permission to access the microphone. You can check this in **Settings > Privacy > Microphone** and make sure the      apps are enabled.

3. Test the headset:
Try using the headset with another app (like Voice Memos) to see if the microphone works correctly. This can help determine if the issue is specific to the messaging apps.

4. App Settings:
Check if there are any settings within the individual apps that may need to be adjusted for audio input/output.

5. Firmware Update:
Ensure that your Poly Voyager 5200 is running the latest firmware. You can use the Poly Lens app to check for updates.

6. Re-pair the device:
Try unpairing the headset from your iPhone and then re-pairing it. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.

If the issue still persists, I would request you contact our HP Support, and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link.
