Voyager FOCUS UC B825 USB-A

I use ms-teams, and slack huddles for conferencing on a windows 11 pc. I reinstalled the software and updated the device. software 715.715.0 My headset is recognized as default audio for output but for input the mic is not showing up at all. I tried to "add a device" but I can't find it either. Please help me get my mic reconnecting.  Voyager Focus UC

Hi @Coastgirl_NS  Welcome to Poly HP Support Community.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're facing with the Voyager Focus UC headset. I understand how important it is to have the headset functioning properly, and I’m here to help you get it back on track. Please follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

1. Check the Audio Settings in Windows

  • Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "Sounds".
  • Go to the "Recording" tab.
  • If your headset microphone isn’t showing up, right-click in the blank area and make sure "Show Disabled Devices" is checked.
  • If your microphone appears, right-click it and select "Enable".
  • Ensure it's set as the default communication device by right-clicking and selecting "Set as Default Communication Device".

2. Verify the Microphone in MS Teams and Slack

  • MS Teams:
    1. Open MS Teams and click on your profile picture in the top-right corner.
    2. Select Settings > Devices.
    3. Under Audio Devices, confirm that your Voyager Focus UC headset is selected for both Speaker and Microphone.
  • Slack Huddles:
    1. Open Slack and click on your profile icon in the top left.
    2. Go to Preferences > Audio & Video.
    3. Ensure the Voyager Focus UC is selected as the microphone.

3. Check Device Manager

  • Open Device Manager by typing it in the Windows search bar.
  • Under "Sound, video and game controllers", check if the Voyager Focus UC is listed.
  • If it’s not listed, or if you see a yellow triangle, try right-clicking and selecting "Update Driver" or "Uninstall device" and restarting your PC to reinstall the drivers.

4. Reset the Headset Using Poly Lens Application

  • Open the Poly Lens application.
  • If the microphone still isn’t working, try resetting the headset through Poly Lens.
  • In Poly Lens, look for the "Reset" option for your headset and follow the instructions to reset the device settings. This can often help resolve any connection issues.

If the issue still persists, I would request you contact our HP Support and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link.
