Hello. I have an issue with Poly Voyager 5200 Series headset (which I weirdly couldn't manage to register here by serial number).

I have 2 of them and both has same issue, which gradually appeared in a period of a bit over a year of usage. Whenever I go outdoors, in duration of 15 seconds to 2 minutes during voice conversation, my voice on other end will gradually become quieter, robotic/metallic sounding and in the end completely non understandable.

I've tested on both Wi-Fi and cellular network with following devices and getting same issue:
- OnePlus 5T

- Xiaomi 11T Pro

- iPhone 13

It happens both around the house in suburban area, on the streets and even in forests away from any houses. I can stand against my front door inside house and have a proper conversation, but even stepping outside 1m from front door will spoil my audio input. It happens regardless of what kind of voice communication is used, be it usual phone call or using any application, that allows voice calls over internet. Also weather conditions doesn't matter, same issue regardless of that.

When issue happens, even coming back indoors doesn't help. I need to restart the call completely, so drop it and call again. At that point everything is good again, as long as I stay inside.

I have tried:

- software update;

- reset sensors;

- turn sensors on/off;

- turn HD audio on off;

Thank you for posting your query.

It seems like you have tried almost all the troubleshooting, and it looks like the headset is faulty. I would request that you contact HP Support to get the headset replaced if it is under warranty, and our support engineers should be able to sort this out.
