I don't know what's happened to the Poly 5200. It used to be a great reliable product. After some software update in the last few years, the sound cuts in and out for the person on the other end. To them, I sound fine and loud and clear. Then, the volume decreases dramatically so that they can barely hear me. Then it comes back again loud and clear, then it decreases again. Why is this happening??? We now have had 3 separate 5200 headsets do this and I'm seeing threads from others expressing the same frustration. I'm about ready to throw these in the trash and buy another brand.

Hi @Kristin1112, Welcome to the Poly HP Support Community.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing with your Voyager 5200 headset. I understand how important it is to have your headset functioning reliably, especially when it's essential to your workflow.

To help resolve the issue, I recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Ensure the headset is set as the default audio device on both your PC and your softphone application.
  2. Disable or reset the headset’s wearing sensors using the Poly Lens application on your PC.
  3. Perform a full reset of the headset through the Poly Lens application as well.

If the issue persists after these steps, I encourage you to contact our HP Support team. Our Support Engineers will be happy to assist further and work toward a resolution.
