Plantronics C054
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am currently trying to setup my Plantronics C054 headset with my VOIP phone.  The way it's setup currently, it works but people are hearing echo's and static when speaking,  I do not hear the echo's but I do hear the static.  It also only stays on for a few minutes before turning off.  Here is how I have it hooked up:

I also have a Yealink SP T46U

I've done this a million times in the past albeit not for a while and cannot figure this out

Thanks

Hi @sparker01915, Welcome to the Poly HP Support Community.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your CS540 headset. I understand how important it is to have a reliable and clear audio experience, especially when you're depending on your headset for work or communication. I'm here to help.

Please try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Check device placement:
Ensure there is at least 12 inches (30 cm) between the headset base and your computer and at least 6 inches (15 cm) between the base and your telephone.
If you're hearing static or distortion, it could be a sign that you're moving out of range—try moving closer to the base to see if that helps.

Adjust volume settings:

Lower the Speaking Volume Dial and Listening Volume Dial on the headset base. For most desk phones, setting both to position 2 works best.

If your desk phone has its own volume control, try reducing that volume until the distortion clears.

You can also adjust the headset's speaker volume directly if the issue persists.

Continue to fine-tune the Listening Volume Dial on the base until the sound quality improves.

If the issue still persists, I would request you contact our HP Support and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link.
