Voyager FOCUS2 M
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I've been encountering this issue for several months now, and I've reached a dead end on troubleshooting this. Here's the issue:

  • At different rates (sometimes as often as every few minutes), my Poly Voyager Focus 2 will make a disruptive popping sound. The sound will cut out for <1sec, and then restore itself.
  • This only occurs when listening to audio (never during calls on Teams) via the BT700 dongle.
  • To make things weirder, it only happens at home. When I use the same laptop/dongle/headset at work, the issue does not occur.
  • Other things I've tried are:
    • Unplugging any nearby Bluetooth / Wifi devices in the immediate area - No effect.
    • Using laptop battery power only - No effect
    • Using wired ethernet vs wifi - No effect
    • Using bluetooth instead of BT700 dongle - No effect
    • Disconnecting my external monitor from the laptop - No effect
    • Unpairing any bluetooth devices with the headset (TV, Phone) - No effect
    • Moving the laptop/headset to another room - No effect

Any idea of other things I could try to see why this is happening? In the room where my desk is at home, there's nothing close by that could cause Bluetooth interference. I'm honestly at a loss.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hello, @stere0atypical, and welcome to the HP Poly community.

I am sorry to hear that you are facing this issue with the Poly Voyager Focus 2 UC.

Could you please follow a few troubleshooting steps mentioned below and let us know if the issue persists?

1. Could you please try a headset with a different mobile phone or a PC?
2. Could you please restore the headset settings to default on the Poly Lens application by connecting the headset to the PC? Once done, please switch off and switch on the headset again to save the changes made.
3. Could you please try connecting the BT700 to a different PC?
4. Could you please set the headset as the default in the sound settings of the PC?
5. Could you please check for firmware updates and update them in the Poly Lens application?

I hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance. If you find the information provided useful or solves your problems, help other users find the solution more easily by giving Kudos/Thumbs Up and marking my post as an Accepted Solution.
