@MEERAN1512,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP 240 Black Bluetooth Mouse scroll option is not working properly, try the following troubleshooting steps.

Basic Checks

  1. Restart Your Device – Restart your computer to rule out any temporary software glitches.
  2. Check the Surface – Ensure you're using the mouse on a clean, flat surface. Avoid reflective or transparent surfaces.
  3. Test on Another Device – Try connecting the mouse to a different computer to see if the issue persists.

Software & Driver Fixes

Reconnect the Mouse

  • Remove the mouse from Bluetooth devices in your PC settings.
  • Reconnect by going to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Add a device and pair it again.

Update or Reinstall Drivers

  • Open Device Manager (Win + X → Select Device Manager).
  • Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
  • Right-click HID-compliant mouse > Update driver.
  • Select Search automatically for drivers.
  • If the issue persists, uninstall the driver and restart your PC.

Adjust Scroll Settings

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Mouse.
  • Increase or adjust the scroll speed.
  • Click Additional Mouse Options, go to the Wheel tab, and tweak settings.

Hardware & Battery Checks

  1. Check Battery Levels – If the battery is low, replace it with a fresh one.
  2. Clean the Scroll Wheel – Dust or debris can interfere with scrolling. Use a can of compressed air to clean it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
