I am writing to report an issue with my Plantronics Voyager 6200 UC headset.

 

When connected via Bluetooth to my computer, there is a consistent delay of about 8–10 seconds before the microphone activates during calls on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other video conferencing tools. The speech indicator only begins to respond after this delay, which results in the first few seconds of my speech being completely missed on the other end.

 

This problem does not occur on regular phone calls or WhatsApp calls, where the headset functions normally.

 

I would appreciate it if this issue can be investigated and addressed appropriately.

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please try a few troubleshooting steps provided below so that I can assist you further?

 

This is to inform you that the Poly Voyager 6200 Series are end of life and the manufacturing has been stopped. 

 

1. Configure USB adapter:

Windows:


1. To configure your Bluetooth USB adapter to play music, go to Start menu > Control Panel > Sound > Playback tab. Select Poly BT700 or Plantronics BT600, set it as the Default Device, and click OK. 
2. To pause music when you place or receive calls, go to Start menu > Control Panel > Sound > Communications tab and select the desired parameter. 

Mac:

1. To configure the Bluetooth USB adapter, go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Sound. On both the Input and Output tabs, select Poly BT700 or Plantronics BT600.

 

2. Ensure that only one softphone application is opened at a time.

 

3. Could you please restore the headset settings to default on the Poly Lens application by connecting the headset to the PC? Once done please switch off and switch on the headset again to save the changes made.

I have tried all this but nothing seems to work. This is a known bug in voyager 6200 series and I would like ho to address this bug,
