OK I'll try all the steps. 

But 

Regarding the firmware update : 

 

  • Firmware update of the headset itself works via the “Lens” software
  • Dongle BT700 firmware update only works via the Plantronics hub software (errors via the lens software)
  • If we want to use the headset with all call control features on our Genesys Cloud environment (accept and disconnect call) we need to have the Plantronics hub active and not the Poly Lens software.

Is there an evolution that only the Lens software should be used in the future? Or will the Plantronics hub software be maintained and supported as this seems to be the only way to make things work?

Poly lens is our latest application, and it is very similar to the Plantronics Hub, hence you should find all the latest features on the app. However, you should be able to update both the headset and the BT700 USB dongle firmware on the Poly Lens application as it supports the Voyager Focus 2 headset.

after the firmware update all works fine. 

 

This said, my other questions remain... is it possible to verify why the plantronics hub permits to use all call control on CC environment and the lens app does not. 

Because now we will have to deploy the plantronics hub to make all features work. 

Until when will it be supported? Or will this be checked and will it be possible to verify this with an update of the lens app in some time ?

Poly Lens is still being updated; hence you may not find all the features. We will update you regarding the Poly Lens as and when we get updates, until then please use Plantronics hub as well.

I have the same headset the Voyager Focus 2 and was finally sent a warranty form to fill out HOWEVER it just keeps bringing me back to the I fo almost like it isn't sending it and if you call it says they aren't taking calls??? You keep referring to this support group that I can't reach.  Even the original has a fast busy signal.  The option they originally gave was use with Bluetooth not with the toggle.  I can't take a legal recorded statement over Bluetooth.  Any suggestions on actually getting assistance?

ok thanks for the feedback. 

It would be geat to receiven an update or updateswhen new features will be available in the lens app, so one day we will be able to not use the plantronics app anymore.
