mute keeps going on and off when i get phone calls

my headset is connected to my PC using poly dongle. it is also paired with my phone Pixel 6pro running android 15. it is currently firmware 517 on case and headset. Any time I get a call on my phone for some reason it randomly flaps between mute on and off. Sometimes it will eventually stop if I move away from my PC its as if the dongle is trying to fight for control of the headset?

Please follow the troubleshooting steps below and test the headset:

Verify and update the firmware using the Poly Lens application.
Reset the headset sensors using the Poly Lens application.
Reset the headset using the Poly Lens application.
