poly 4320 headset not syncing headset buttons to zoom - MacOS 13.6 Ventura

poly voyager 4320 SN 2WNVTG.
installed poly lens app. changed softphone settings to Zoom.
does not sync headset buttons. Already enabled audio setting "sync buttons on headset".
mute button on headset does not unmute the Zoom client.
device will unmute by itself if I click unmute in Zoom client.

to clarify I have poly voyager 4320 UC.

the problem comes from the poly lens app. 

I called support and they said check Teams; teams worked flawlessly with poly lens app open.

I quit poly lens app and tried Zoom again. the mute button on the headset now syncs with the client properly.
