VOYAGER 4320
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have purchased Voyager 4320 headphones and they are "unusable" when microphone is enabled.

When i try to switch "HD Voice" in Poly Lens, then nothing changes.

Hi @RaHol, Welcome to Poly HP Support Community.

Please follow the troubleshooting steps below and test the headset:

1. Verify and update the headset's firmware using the Poly Lens application.
2. Ensure the headset is set as the default device on the PC and softphone.
3. Reset the headset using the Poly Lens application.

Hello M_Salman,

I already updated Poly Lens app and hw/firmware before writing to this forum.

I was trying a lot of combinations:

- as soon as you enable MIC by any way, then sound goes low quality, because of the nature of Bluetooth

- this is the same even if i use USB connection, if i enable MIC, then music is like 1993 quality

- as soon as you disable MIC, quality goes back to normal

- they are not not usable on PC, i feel like the wideband feature is supposed to prevent this issue, yet it doesn't do anything, maybe its just for mobiles, i guess... It was the same issue with another BT based headphones always, even with my B&O Portal, there is this issue.

- i still use them on PC to listen music. They have similar quality to B&O Portal, yet they are more lightweight. Voyager would be very very good, if the MIC+SOUND were working correctly on PC. I wonder if there is the same issue with Jabra, but i dont have those to try.

Thanks for link to the support page, i was looking for that.

Thank you for the confirmation.

Please try connecting the headset without the USB adapter and test the headset's functionality.

If the issue still persists,. I would request that you contact HP Support to get the headset replaced if it is under warranty, and our support engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:

You mean to connect to PC with cable and unplug the BT7000, right?

Yeah i was not testing this combination, but anyways it is not any solution, because i use wireless headphones. I have a lot of headphones just to try what works and what not.

These BT headphones does not work correctly wireless when MIC is used.

The software is doing it. For example B&O portal does not make the sound worse quality, but microphone is very very low quality, that renders them also unusable. When i am calling with friends using 500 eur headphones, and they are laughing on quality of my voice, that is no-no.

The only solution so far is Wireless dongle for PC (like HyperX), so the headphones with this kind of dongle + BT for mobile, that would probably work.

I thank you for trying to help me, yet i will not return the product to have money back, nor i will contact support to spend energy and gain nothing. I willl use these Voyager 4320 for listening music without enabling the MIC, and to remember myself once again that BT is not for PC.

I am writing here to warn other people who think they can buy BT headphones and use them with PC without issues - that is impossible with products various companies are selling today.

The issue with this Voyager was "MS Certified for MS Teams", etc... It indeed works, but it just means "you can talk with quality of sound from 1993" and that is fake advertisement.
