Hello,

My company sent me a replacement computer last week and I am struggling with power in the docking.

Previously,  I had an Elitebook 840 G2 docked to 2013 Ultraslim dock. This setup worked well with two external monitors and some USB peripherals. The computer charged fine.

When the new computer, Elitebook 840 G5, is docked in the same 2013 Ultraslim dock, the monitors and peripherals work, but the computer does not charge. Yesterday, I updated the firmware of the dock to 2.33, unplugged and replugged the dock, and the G5 charged for the rest of the day. However, When I shut it down and booted up this morning, it is back to not charging. I have power cycled everything, and even flashed the firmware again, but it is still not charging.

Other Details:

-My company sent me a second 2013 Ultraslim dock and power cord with the G5, and it also does not charge the G5.

-Dock power adapter is 65W

-Travel charger that came with computer charges the computer fine, and is a 65W

-Monitors are connected via a VGA and a DP with a VGA adapter.

-I cannot find specific compatibility data on the dock and 840 G5. I get mixed, unreliable info from Amazon and other seller sites, and I could not find anything on HP.com

I appreciate your suggestions!
