HP USB-C Dock G5  P/N 5YH26AV#ABB

2 monitors Acer AL2723W via HDMI

These monitors are old and have HDMI, DVI, VGA

Center Monitor is attached via DP/VGA adapter, right monitor is attached via HDMI to HDMI

Center displays 1920x1200 fine, right is stuck at 1680x1050 and lists that as the highest resolution.

Attaching the right monitor to the EliteBook directly I get 1920x1200 immediately.

How can I get 1920x1200 through the G5 dock?

(It worked like that on a ZBook Fury with a G4 dock alright, it works on Ryzen APU outputs, works on a 3090 in a CAD machine, only this G5 is acting up.)

Hello.

Try updating the dock firmware, available from HP website:

If you plug in only the problematic monitor into the hub without the other, does it work at full resolution?

Since the DP-VGA adapter works, consider getting another one; DP-DVI would be better for the image quality, though.
