Hello Korrawit.
Both 440 g9 and 450 g9 have the option of secondary storage, but it is unfortunately only for a short M.2 (2230) PCIe NVMe Gen-3.0 x4, NVMe 1.3 when a wwan card is not used. You can see 440 g9 datasheet page 6 about the secondary storage option https://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c08007804 and also notebookchecks review of the 450 g9 to see how the motherboard looks and the whole arrangement 450g9 2230 slot for a WWAN or SSD , They've mislabeled it as 2242 but it is a 2230 for sure since part numbers from HP for the ssds are M11042-001 (256gb) and M11040-001 (128gb) and you can see the info on the larger drive here (your laptop is mentioned) m11042-001 .
I only have to warn you that sometimes in the case of these short pcie slots, some models (in older series) didn't actually have the slot hardware fitted in if no wwan was included, and I can't tell you if yours is one of these rare occasions, So you should definitely open it up before ordering anything (HP or other brand).
Take care.
* Oh yes, about the maximum size (I assume you mean max capacity), 2230s generally aren't very large but MICRON has a 2tb edition (and also 1tb and 512gb). You can read about it here 2TB 22x30mm SSD Brings High-Capacity to Notebooks . Otherwise, you can easily find the 512gb sizes.
