Elitebook 745 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have Elitebook 745 G5 since a month. It replaces the old one 745 G2.

I found that on the new generation you change the Fn/Hotkeys approach - the default is Hotkeys, instead of F1-F12 keys.

The workaround till BIOS version 01.04.01 was to lock the FN key in combination with left Shift.

Now on the new BIOS you said that this new feature is included, in order to produce the standard approach of Fn/Hotkeys selection. Quoted from release notes:

"Adds a feature in the BIOS setup (F10), Launch Hotkeys without Fn Keypress"
I've updated my laptop and enter in BIOS in order to check the feature. Option is really present, but it is not working as expected.

When you select "disable" on "Swap Hotkeys with F1-F12" it is not returning back the standard approach on which F1-F12 keys are default selection. Feature just locks permanently your FN button. So this feature is useless. 😞

The small LED indicator on FN button goes ON permanently. Even if you turn off backLID of the keyboard, this FN LED is lighting permanently.

Please update the feature, so when the end user select "disable" on "Swap Hotkeys with F1-F12", it really disable the button swap, instead of permanently lock the FN button.
