Updating U88 bios file from version 1.18 to 1 .19 caused copious  i/o errors on both my nvme ssd drives forcing me to downgrade the firmware back to version 1.18 The problem disappeared when I went back to 1.18. I tested using both linux kernel 6.14.10 & 6.15.0.  I realize linux is probably not officially supported on this model, but I bet there are other people using it and I want to share this experience with them.

I would hope hp would fix this regression in future firmware versions. I am not holding my breath as tech  corporations in general have a history of walking away from providing computer firmware updates  (that they should be providing) way too early.
