Hello
for computer with HP BIOS (I means probook, prodesk, elitebook, elitedeks, zbook, z workstation ...) there are two fields in the BIOS setting:
Asset Tag and Ownership Tag
you can write a string in both of them.
HP provides utilities to write such string in those fields. Latet usilities are powershell based.
https://www.hp.com/us-en/solutions/client-management-solutions.html looks for HP CMSL and/or HP MIK for SCCM.
In any case if you want manage am inventory you need a management tool , not provided by HP, such as SCCM, Azure manageability , Workspace one or similar fleet management tools.
bye
