BCU config fails randomly during task sequence

Hello everyone,

Since the release of the HP ZBook Studio G7 I have randomly encountered an error when I apply the Bios config via BCU inside the task sequence.

The HP ZBook Studio G8 seems to be affected by this issue as well.  Other HP models are fine. Sometimes it runs through without issues, sometimes it fails and aborts.

There is an encrypted password being passed as described here:

I was not able to find anything related to the error code 26.

Anyone that might have an idea on this, or had similar experiences?

are you using latest BCU version ?

as alternative you can use HP CMSL to set BIOS setting, but you have to use to BIOS password in clear text in your Task Sequence.
